In 2015 The Melisizwe Brothers became known across the world for their popular covers of Stevie Wonder “Overjoyed”, “ Whitney Houston “I Look To You”, Michael Jackson “Ben” and other Motown covers which were showcased on their Facebook account. In 2016 of December the brothers posted a cover of the famous Jackson 5 single I’ll Be There. The video hit 50 million views worldwide on Facebook and currently has 2.3 million views on Youtube. Gaining the attention of Ellen DeGeneres they were asked to be on her show to perform this song.

The brothers popularity only continued to grow from there. They became proclaimed winners of the amateur section of Showtime at the Apollo Christmas, performing the Jackson 5 “Santa Claus is Comin To Town” which was nationally televised on Fox TV. The Melisizwe Brothers also performed the Christmas classic “O Holy Night” on the Steve Harvey Show on December 2018 which gained 9.8 million on Facebook. They performed on New Year's Eve, in New York City, Times Square with Steve Harvey on Fox TV, Little Big Shots UK, America’s Got Talent and Lead vocals of the Netflix series Motown Magic. In 2020 The Melisizwe Brothers were crowned the winners of the Nickelodeon competition show, America's Most Musical family, scoring a recording contract with Republic Records and a $250,000 cash prize.
