Thank you Friend Zone for having Tash on. I am 39 (Hey Fran '82' babies) with a 2 year old and really trying hard to figure out how to be a better parent. I get so torn with incorporating parenting aspects of how I grew up (whooping's, little rewards, but lots of love and affirmations) with other ways of parenting that my husband would say is "white ppl sh**t (time outs or gentle talking). Listening to this episode was so eye opening and definitely revealing. Recently my 2 year old daughter told her my friend's teenage daughter "I'm gonna pop you" when she saw the teenager play fight w/her little sister. OMG, I was so embarrassed because it was very telling what I've been saying. Nevertheless I am learning everyday and I am aware of what I need to work on. Again, so grateful to you guys with this one and I will definitely be following Supernova Momma Tash! 2022-02-24T18:08:37Z Comment by Maya Gwynn Listening to this in the grocery store and stopped because I was triggered when the whopping was being reenacted 😂 I’ve worked with kids for ten years and feel so grateful these types of conversations. Check out my black business 3 lines collective 2022-02-24T17:31:07Z Comment by AdrianNoRocky I have an autistic son and I learned through trial and error that whooping him doesn’t work but giving him my “momma death stare” and removing his Ipad from him definitely changes his behavior real quick! That’s my form of positive discipline!!! 😂 2022-02-24T15:09:31Z Comment by Marcus Alan We didnt get to hear Dustin role play as a child lol i was waiting to hear what scenario he sould have gave.
