Sevensol: The Ransom Note Mix by Ransom Note

Sevensol is a splendid producer, DJ and label boss. Kann, the label of which he co-founded alongside Bender, has become one of the best and most significant in a new wave of record labels championing House music in Europe. A figurehead of the Leipzig underground music scene Sevensol cut his teeth at record stores across the city, working behind the counters and gathering a wealth of knowledge which would go on to inform and inspire his own taste and perspective as a DJ.

His music is often deep, pensive and driven by emotions. This is perhaps best noted on his own productions, upon which he works with Bender to craft stripped back, textural music which tugs at the heartstrings as much as it moves the feet.

As a DJ Sevensol’s style is innovative and unique, seeking to take dancers on a journey through multiple genres and styles, all with ethereal undertones. Sevensol is also one half of the DJ duo Manamana alongside Map.ache.

We invited him to record this mixtape a little while back and now that it’s shown up it doesn’t disappoint.
