As an artist these days, the pursuit of connecting with an audience and growing a fanbase is increasingly challenging. In an era ruled by black box algorithms and paid promotion drowning out voices of everyday creators, real fans are scarce and hard to reach, bots and doomscrollers are mounting, social media self promotion is becoming ineffective, and small artists are at risk of starvation more than ever before.
