I live, work, and make music on the un-ceded lands and waters of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation.

Australia's institutional and legal foundations were founded on the myth that nobody inhabited this continent when the first fleet of boats coming from England arrived. Speaking for settlers like myself, the least we can do is redistribute our privilege (whatever forms it might take) earned off the back of a history and ongoing practice of dispossession, erasure and violence perpetuated against First Nations peoples.

Making music against this backdrop will always feel fraught to me until we achieve real justice and honour the many Indigenous legal orders, polities, knowledges and traditions that are already in existence in this place but have been denied by the State of their rightful, sovereign legitimacy.
