Early October Rewind by take_marsh published on 2016-06-17T23:39:32Z Back in January, I played through Life is Strange. Afterward, I watched the ending I should've chosen and then I wrote all this. About 14 or so of the tracks were written in the first two or so weeks of completing the game. A few of the others were written a month or two later, and then one just in the last week to seal the deal. It was my first big effort at mixing and it was brutal. I still have little knowledge of what I'm doing, but it'll be a constant WiP when it comes to making things sound big, dynamic, and at least interesting. So here we are. 18 tracks of naivety and falsely-established nostalgia. It was a really fun project using tons of free stuff, besides the purchase of an OST and the cost of the FL Studio 11 (now 12). Sytrus and some other free VSTs were used. "It’s funny, because I meet a lot of people who are interested in making music and they’re discouraged a little bit because they’re worried about, you know, “Everyone else is so awesome already.” You kind of need to not give a shit and just be doing it for fun. That’s how you know it really means something: When it doesn’t matter and you know you’re in a new world that you’re creating..." -Steven Ellison (Flying Lotus), avclub Genre Electronic Contains tracks The Longer Days by take_marsh published on 2016-06-17T23:39:31Z Blackwell Academy Bootleg (w/ samples from 'Blackwell Academy' by Jonathan Morali) by take_marsh published on 2016-06-17T23:39:29Z Crosses (w/ Max) by take_marsh published on 2016-06-17T23:39:27Z This Town Needs Guns by take_marsh published on 2016-06-17T23:39:26Z Awkward Age by take_marsh published on 2016-06-17T23:39:24Z
