I Don't Talk by Suicideoscope published on 2022-01-09T00:50:11Z SCOPE Recording started in 2016 during the United States presidential election. After a 3-day session of collaborative brainstorming followed years of solitary work piecing the project into a follow-up to the debut album Suicideoscope (2017). The new direction received mixed reviews due to a drastic sonic shift. Supposedly, the original heartfelt effort jumped on the bandwagon and turned into a comic spectacle. However, the subject matter of the project remained more or less the same. The sophomore release Scope (2022) presents genre tropes and tongue-in-cheek moments mixed with confessional storytelling. Social distrust, mental health, substance abuse, misogyny and other themes are delivered in a sedated manner on top of dark minimalist instrumentals.
