Strange Houses

Strange Houses is an indie rock band from Long Island that makes original alternative rock music. The band is an odd amalgam of musical tastes and inspirations: an eclectic drummer who has an emotional kinship with Mr. Spock, a classically trained lead guitarist with an unapologetic penchant for Kiss, a three-fingered bass player who likes to build his own instruments, and a rhythm guitarist with alt-singer-songwriter pretensions and a penchant for penning obscure lyrics. Somehow this all comes together in a not altogether unpleasing way. If you like late 60's early 70's rock with a modern alt-twist, you'll like Strange Houses.

At this point in the bio we’re supposed to tell you who we sound like, so you can determine if you’ll be interested in listening. OK, let’s give that a shot…Honestly, we have no idea! We're definitely blues-rock influenced, except when we're not. And we all dig the Beatles, but then again, who doesn't? Not helpful? May we humbly suggest you listen to a few songs and let us know who you think we sound like. Maybe then we’ll know.
