Strange Houses Strange Houses Long Island Strange Houses is an indie rock band from Long Island that makes original alternative rock music. The band is an odd amalgam of musical tastes and inspirations: an eclectic drummer who has an emotional kinship with Mr. Spock, a classically trained lead guitarist with an unapologetic devotion to all things Kiss, a bass player with an ear for arranging, and a mental library of punk and new wave riffs, and a rhythm guitarist with alt-singer-songwriter pretensions and a penchant for penning obscure lyrics. Somehow this all comes together in a not altogether unpleasing way. If you like late 60's early to mid 70's rock with a modern alt-twist, you'll like Strange Houses. At this point in the bio we’re supposed to tell you who we sound like, so you can determine if you’ll be interested in listening. OK, let’s give that a shot…Honestly, we have no idea! We're definitely blues-rock influenced, except when we're not. And we all dig the Beatles, but then again, who doesn't? Not helpful?
