SoundCloud Exclusive: Listen to Remixes of TYNAN’s Track “his name is”

The bass DJ/producer, in partnership with SoundCloud, released exclusive stems from his latest track, “his name is,” from his 2026 debut album ‘TYNAN TIME,’ and the electronic community got to work, remixing his mammoth and showcasing their talents.

In collaboration with SoundCloud, the dynamic bass DJ/producer TYNAN stepped up to deliver an exclusive remix experience for fellow artists, inviting others to get creative and showcase their talents.

As an exclusive to the SoundCloud community, the Oklahoma-based artist shared the stems to his latest track, “his name is,” calling on DJs and producers to take his high-octane electronic sound to the next level. Artists from all over the world got to work, uploading their remixes to SoundCloud with the tag #TYNANREMIX2026.

This exclusive remix experience kicked off after TYNAN released his February 2026 debut album, ‘TYNAN TIME,’ which cranks up the dynamics on his signature, bass-fried sound. Building on the momentum after the album dropped, TYNAN made the call-to-action clear for creators.

“I’ve been posting on SoundCloud for well over a decade now, and I wouldn’t be where I am now without posting my silly lil’ remixes on SoundCloud,” TYNAN says. “Now that I have the chance to, I wanted to use this remix contest as a way to elevate smaller artists, to spotlight the artists that are bubbling under the surface, and to give back to the community that has given me more than I could’ve ever hoped for.”

As an artist who loves to bring myriad influences together, TYNAN has a keen ear for what makes a killer edit: whether it’s for scouring SoundCloud for tracks to play in his sets, or for connecting with likeminded artists. In addition to keeping an eye on the #TYNANREMIX2026 hashtag on SoundCloud and encouraging his fans and peers to experiment creatively while the stems were still available, TYNAN also personally collected his favorite remixes throughout the campaign’s duration and played them on a livestream on Twitch.

During the livestream, he revealed the winner of the remix contest: WHZLY, an LA-based DJ/producer known for his wonky bass style, as heard on original tracks for labels like Bassrush, Dim Mak, and Buygore, the record label run by bass figurehead Borgore.

WHZLY’s remix of “his name is” features on TYNAN’s remix version of ‘TYNAN TIME,’ with the track getting an official release as the contest’s top prize and also being celebrated as part of SoundCloud’s Track of the Day series. In addition, TYNAN gave shout outs to more of his favorite contest remixes, including from Saurana, Cini, Doil, BraKet, Fonzo, Euphee, The Living Proof, Rosmo, Vexodus, Bondzeye, Ruuge, Beegurtt, Dubtrio, Sam Hadley, DiamondJaxx, NobodysKnockin’ and HICK3Y.

Inside TYNAN’s Megawatt Bass Sound, SoundCloud Community and Inspiration for the #TYNANREMIX2026 Experience

When Kevin Hickey started producing electronic music, he picked his middle name, Tynan, for his artist alias, but it holds more than a personal weight. Tynan, in Gaelic, means “dark” — and darkness is folded into his music. With its mix of thundering dubstep basslines and video game-inspired, crunching synth riffs, TYNAN’s sound has taken him from native Oklahoma City to the wider world of bass music fandom.

As a teenager, TYNAN experimented with playing live drums and guitars in noisy rock bands — until he heard ‘Scary Monsters & Nice Sprites,’ Skrillex’s 2010 debut EP. TYNAN was blown away by the precision and power of Skrillex’s beats: soon after, he started to produce his own in his bedroom, and signed up to study audio production at college.

As EDM was exploding in the popular consciousness in the 2010s, TYNAN was building his reputation on SoundCloud through remixes, edits, demos and original productions that mixed trap, dubstep and bass. Through this, he found an audience for his music and a global community of bass-loving peers, who have rocket-fueled his career.

Over the last decade, TYNAN has released original music on labels such as Monstercat, Never Say Die, Mad Decent and — in a full circle moment — OWSLA, the record label run by his original inspiration, Skrillex. Now, in February 2026, he’s released his debut solo album, ‘TYNAN TIME’: 15 tracks of stratospheric bass, trap and dubstep, including “his name is;” with pulsing basslines, ripping melodic riffs, and witty samples and vocals.

What’s up next for TYNAN? Well, he’s hitting the road in support of ‘TYNAN TIME,’ with summer and fall performances at major bass festivals like Bass Canyon, Lost Lands and Cyclops Cove, the festival curated by Subtronics. Learn more about his upcoming shows here
