The acclaimed dubstep DJ/producer, in partnership with SoundCloud, released exclusive stems from his latest track, “Eyes Cut Deeper” a collaboration with Inéz, and the creative community got to work, remixing his stadium sound and showcasing their talents.
In collaboration with SoundCloud, the high octane dubstep DJ/producer Subtronics stepped up to deliver an exclusive remix experience for fellow artists, inviting others to get creative and showcase their talents.
Fresh off the release of “Eyes Cut Deeper” — his April 2026 collaboration with German vocalist Inéz, who is known for global hits with artists like Solomun and John Summit — Subtronics shared the stems to the track exclusively to the SoundCloud community, calling on DJs and producers to take his stadium-ready bass sound to the next level. Artists from all over the world got to work, and uploaded their remixes to SoundCloud with the tag #ECDREMIX2026.
This exclusive remix experience kicked off after Subtronics made his landmark debut performance at Coachella 2026, bringing out Inéz to the festival stage to perform the collaborative track live. Continuing to build on the excitement and momentum following their historic performance, Subtronics made the call-to-action clear for creators, sharing: “We thought it would be fun to throw the stems up on SoundCloud for everyone to have. So throw them in your DAW, remix it, bootleg it, flip it, whatever. Have some fun with it if you’d like to.”
As an artist who loves the challenge of a remix, Subtronics has a keen ear for what makes a killer edit, whether it’s for scouring SoundCloud for tracks to play in his sets or for discovering new talent to sign to his label, Cyclops Recordings. In addition to keeping an eye on the #ECDREMIX2026 hashtag on SoundCloud and encouraging his fans and peers to experiment creatively while the stems were still available, Subtronics also personally collected his favorite remixes throughout the campaign’s duration and played them on a live stream on Twitch.

Inside Subtronics’ Massive Dubstep Sound, His SoundCloud Riddim Roots and Inspiration for the #ECDREMIX2026 Experience
Coming up on SoundCloud and online message boards through the riddim and quarternote community — a global yet tight-knit crew of DJs and producers taking American dubstep into a tougher, more digital direction — Subtronics discovered his identity as an artist. As he reflected in our recent Sound Advice interview, SoundCloud continues to play a pivotal role in his career as a DJ, producer and label owner of Cyclops Recordings, referring to the platform as “the primary central meeting point, especially for more grassroots underground music.”
Elsewhere during his Sound Advice episode, Subtronics looks back at his career journey in depth, from his first upload in 2015 to building a fanbase with his ‘NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL RIDDIM’ series to collaborating with major bass acts like Grabbitz, GRiZ, Excision and Zeds Dead. As Subtronics reflects, SoundCloud helped build his confidence as an artist, especially as he was finding his footing in the dubstep scene specifically.
“SoundCloud was one of the very first meeting places where I would actually make a connection with anybody, because I was so small and I was just making friends with other people like me, who were one day aspiring artists,” he says, reflecting. “I just had a crystal-clear flashback to being on break at Target — in, like, 2015 — and putting out a song and then obsessively refreshing my SoundCloud notifications. And anytime a stranger would favorite the song, I would, like, get so excited. [At the time] I would get like, a couple hundred plays. If a song got over 1,000 plays, I was all the way excited.”
On his 2025 double album, ‘Fibonacci’ and ‘Fibonacci Pt 2 - Infinity,’ Subtronics explores rich thematic worlds, new textures and increasingly-intricate and powerful sound design, bringing elements of drum & bass, techno and indie rock into his dubstep signature. You can hear more from Subtronics about the making of ‘Fibonacci’ and more about his creative process in this SoundCloud-exclusive track-by-track commentary.
In late 2025, Subtronics took the world of ‘Fibonacci’ to his sold-out run of six shows at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. In April 2026, he performed his debut show at Coachella, where he stunned a massive festival crowd with his elevated visuals, exclusive remixes, VIPs and live performances of new tracks like “Eyes Cut Deeper,” his collaboration with Inéz.
What’s up next for Subtronics? From selling out historic venues like Red Rocks and The Gorge to headlining the main stage at EDC Vegas, 2026 is undeniably a banner year for one of dubstep’s most innovative names.
