Here is the future of Australian Hip Hop.18 year old rapper, songwriter, storyteller and poet, Kelton Muir, makes his music under the moniker Stories For Nothing. Producing a unique sound that echoes the fresh vibrations delivered to the industry from acts such as Horrorshow, Pez, Phatchance, Illy and Spit Syndicate, Stories For Nothing represents Kelton’s aspiration to tell stories; both his own and others. Inspired by writers ranging from 2Pac to Ted Hughes, Kelton is creating uniquely sincere music, which he makes for the sole purpose of brightening others lives, unmotivated by profit – hence, Stories For Nothing.
Stories For Nothing’s live show, toned from the support of phenomenal international acts such as Hopsin and SwizZz as well as national pacesetters including Phatchance, Coptic Soldier and Johnny Utah, brings unexpected energy, personality and musicality to an oz hip hop stage often bogged down by monotonous flows and predictable outcomes.
While keeping the traditional hip-hop vibe alive in the Stories sound, this music goes beyond these barriers and ventures into versatile musical expression, unafraid of genre boundaries.
Stories For Nothing is continuing to play regular live shows across Sydney as well as release free music online and in hard copy.The past and next few mixtapes will keep the anticipation building for Stories For Nothing’s debut LP – a record that will change the industry and shape the future of Australian Hip Hop and music.

All songs currently released were produced by Stories For Nothing as a group of both Kelton and Jae Moon. Stories For Nothing now consists of just Kelton, yet it should be credited that Jae Moon was an equal part of the group and made all beats on this page.
