I think there is a relation between wind and sound: the wind can be seen as a unity, made by a combination of direction and chaos: at different scales it has uniformity, entropy, fragmentation, and gestures. At the same time it has no starting place and no ending point. The sound is air flow: when we make any noise, sound, or music, we search for a correlation inside this flow; we are in "still air" at different scales. For the wind we have "white noise" and "sine wave". You can control the air, control the medium, put vibrations in the air, but there is always something that comes from nature: instability, imperfection, perturbation. Something happens between the loudspeakers and our ears: even in an anechoic room, there is the "wind" of the breath. I would like to "hand over" to the wind, to let the sound flow into the wind, and carry with it a little part of uncertainty. There is circular motion in this piece: we start by hearing noises, then we try to break up, disaggregate, disjoin the flow; then the wind comes over with all his power of uncertainty. The main sonic research aimed at finding a vibrating natural sound, not associable to any specific software or technique. The piece has been composed with Csound in conjunction with MIDI controllers, directly on a multichannel system. Genre Electronic Acousmatic - Computer Music
