This week we’ve sped up Pharoahe Monch’s “Simon Says” and layered it over Shawn Lee’s “Italian Stallion” and “Windy City”. Gone is that ominous Godzilla sample from the original and in its place, a collection of fuzz-toned funk grooves. We think it sounds like a throwback to late 80s, JB-inspired hip hop.
