A lot of poetry nowadays talks about the ugliness of our shared darknesses, he's brave enough to rap about the light. Wes just totally spoke to the smallness of my soul. Gotta thank him for that gift. Too often we chase after either the harshness of cold doctrine, or the shallow beauty of empty poetry. We fail to see that God is both relentless Truth and the Beauty of Poetic Grace at the same time. If we can't embrace the paradox of God's mercy, we chafe at the the idea of "on earth as it is in heaven," because we forget that He once forsook one for the other. Preach it Wes!
