FYI Chris - aka Chris Watson and Chris Coupe - are a dynamic London-based electronic duo blending dusty house, broken rhythms, post-punk textures, and genre-fluid club sounds. Hailing from Northern England, they forged their partnership in South London’s underground scene through Rye Wax-where Coupe co-founded the space and Watson worked behind the counter.

Known for a playful, jam-based production style rooted in MPC sessions and synth explorations, FYI Chris have released on labels like Black Acre, Toy Tonics or Rhythm Section, and run their own imprint, West Friends. Standout releases include Black Dragon Loop and the acclaimed LP Earth Scum, a sci-fi-tinged, community-driven project featuring MC Pinty and Simeon Jones.

Beyond production, they’re tastemaking DJs with global gigs and regular radio shows on Balamii and NTS. With deep ties to South London’s creative circles, FYI Chris continue to push boundaries while keeping a playful, spontaneous spirit at the heart of their music.
