Sophia Jani Sophia Jani Munich Sophia Jani is a composer/pianist currently residing in Munich, Germany. Her first EP "Relive", a collaboration with pianist/composer Carlos Cipa, was released in early 2014 on Denovali Records. From 2014-2018 she studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. In early 2018 she wrote a 10 minute orchestral piece which was performed by the Munich Symphonic Orchestra. In 2019 she wrote together with composer Carlos Cipa the score for the movie "Die Goldfische" by director Alireza Golafshan, which was on the short-list for the German Film Award. Sophia Jani was a Composition Fellow at the Bang on a Can Summer Festival 2019, where she studied with Julia Wolfe, Michael Gordon and David Lang.
