The content slides between the clarity of clean pitched content and the crackling and hissing of interference. It is very rarely at either extreme, instead exploring the spectrum between the two through a range of instrumental effects and techniques. The image may seem unrelated, however I have been living opposite this imposing, seemingly disused, building since September and I recently learned that it is called Faraday Tower. Faraday (and his cage) is a fitting reference for a piece about electromagnetic interference. © Simon Hellewell 2018 Genre Contemporary
