Shama Artiste Shama Shah London Shama started singing at the age of 7, impressively had her first band at the age of 10 and performed live on Voice of Kenya television. After moving to the UK, she received vocal training for five years from Smt. Swati Natekar & another 3 years from Smt. Krishna Chakraborty. In 1994, Shama formed her band Shama & Friends, which succesfully became one of the longest running Bollywood bands, spanning an impressive 17 years of shows all over the world. Shama's debut album, Forever Yours, was released in 1995. This was the first ever album of its kind entirely produced in the UK with a bollywood sound. Songs from this album have been featured in British soap Coronation street, National Geographic documentaries, a japanese film & French film Gomez et Tavares. Shama was invited to sing on Geri Halliwell's (Ginger Spice) debut album, Schizophonic & on Roddy Frame's (Scottish guitarist/ vocalist/songwriter) album, Reason For Living. Shama released her second album, Spellbound, in 2004. Apart from singing, she has lent her voice to many T.V. and radio ads. Shama recently teamed up with the young and dynamic band of musicians, The 515 Crew, and produced their first single, Maahi, followed up by Diljaani & Baarish and they are already in the studio producing and writing more songs.
