Skeleton Frames - Leech by Art Is Hard Records published on 2015-07-31T07:22:14Z 7" hand cut record, limited to 25. Available from our site from 1pm, 31.7.15: http://artishardrecords.limitedrun.com/products/556379?preview=true Part 8 of the Handcut Record Club marks a return to our previous stomping ground - Exeter and a warm welcome to Skeleton Frames. The 5 piece caught our attention earlier in the year with their first two tracks Sólskin / My Friends Don’t Talk to Me Anymore - a concise and exciting introduction to their rousing Slowdive’esque pop. Thankfully Leech doesn’t stray too far from the original blueprint - Emily’s softly sung vocals providing a soothing juxtaposition to woozy grungy guitar lines and crashing drums. Listening to today’s single, you wouldn’t be able to tell that it’s only the third track which the band have put out. They might have spent the past couple of days playing in tiny pubs and have the mantra ‘will play shows for petrol’ but they already sound ready to be slaying huge stages. As with previous Hand Cut singles, Leech will be released on lathe cut 7″ and limited to 25 copies. The 25 copies will be available from our shop at 1pm today! As always it’s worth pointing out that because these records are handcut, they will sound slightly lofi! If you’re not down with that, then the track is available for free download from both our Bandcamp and Soundcloud!
