Rodents - Do Nothing by Art Is Hard Records published on 2014-03-13T22:42:22Z If this isn't a slacker pop spring anthem, then we're not two guys who love pizza an unhealthly amount. Apparently it's a sin to describe anything as slacker pop but it's hard to resist when the main refrain is a repeated "I wanna do nothing" slung amongst 'woooooo awoooooo's' and cacophonous pop with a heap of spring in it's step. Rodents is the work of Robert Eyres from London. His previous outfit Areca Grove, released an excellent cassette EP back in 2013 and was described by DIY as 'what a new Morrissey record would sound like if he gave a shit about becoming relevant again'. They also stated that the lead track sounded "like it wants to burst into life like a jangly surf pop track, but is instead suppressed into an education it doesn’t desire by a father who only wants the best for his child". With 'Do Nothing' it sounds like the father has been well and truly overthrown and for the greater good. Grab a free download above. Genre Slacker pop Comment by Diego 1st Song Music Grea stuff!!
