Call of Ithaca by Sean Batura published on 2019-04-28T23:03:15Z A piece based on Odysseus and Calypso. Each melody represents an aspect of their story. For example, one melody represents the incessant waves reminding Odysseus that nothing changes on the island, that the world is moving on without him, that his wife and child are far away and getting older. Another melody represents his bliss on the island as his family and home are forgotten. Another melody represents his pining for Ithaca, his desire to return home to his responsibilities and the family he hasn't seen in many years. And so on. Forgive me for the audio quality! I'm working on getting a human recording of it. Genre Classical
