Single Channel Amp (Dev in progress - March 2013) by Scuffham Amps published on 2013-03-09T16:17:46Z Just some very rough noodling on an amp design I've been working on today. This is an old style (Fender style) single channel amp. A very simple design with just two tube preamp stages into the poweramp. The first part of the clip is a strat with the amp gain set low. Middle part is the strat again but with the amp gain pushed higher. Last part is a PRS SC245 driving the amp quite hard. I'm also messing around with pickup selection and guitar volume. The speaker cab is the Redwirez 1x12" Celestion G12H30 with the M160 Ribbon Mic. Reverb is Room Thing 'Highly Sprung' preset. Like how the amp lets the character of the different pickup positions shine! 2013-03-10T18:12:00Z Comment by Scuffham Amps PRS SC245 - amp gain higher. 2013-03-09T16:19:46Z Comment by Scuffham Amps Strat - amp gain low. 2013-03-09T16:19:28Z Comment by Scuffham Amps Strat - amp gain set higher. 2013-03-09T16:19:08Z
