Sāsanārakkha Buddhist Sanctuary Monk Training Centre and Retreat Centre Taiping Sāsanārakkha Buddhist Sanctuary (SBS) is primarily a monastery for Buddhist monks to deepen their knowledge, practice and realization of the Buddha’s teachings. Under the auspices of the Monastery (Monk Training Centre) the Sanctuary dedicates its resources to groom ordained as well as prospective monks to become conscientious in the DhammaVinaya, and thereby help to perpetuate the Sāsana. SBS also provides a Retreat Centre to realise its secondary objective: promoting the spiritual, mental and physical health of its supporting community; thus reflecting a healthy Sangha-laity interdependence.
