«Iriydium» returns and continues to explore the cultural context and development of the post-club music scene, chronologically covering the period from 2014 to the present day.

With this podcast «Iriydium» opens a narrative sub-series investigating the notion of «exoticism» in the post-club scene. The series will investigate this dichotomy: post-club music from non-Western parts of the world vs the diasporic sound produced in the West.

The first episode will focus on the music of Asia to highlight its exponentiating musical capital. All of the music, as it is custom to Iriydium, is collected from 2014 to the present day and is intended to present the full scope of musical tropes developed in the Asian post-club scene. Some of these tropes are integrated within the pop musical history of the land. These include Japanese tracks that not only use glitch and noise elements characteristic of European club music, but blend it with their hip-hop and jazz tradition.
