God Save The Queen/King was Australia's National/Colonial Anthem from the beginning, 1788, until replaced by a watered-down, sanitised, politically-corrected and abbreviated version of Advance Australia Fair, written by Scottish-born composer Peter Dodds McCormick, (while sitting in a bus), first performed in its original form in 1878.

These are the complete original lyrics, all nine verses. "King" or
"Queen" to be used according to who it the British Monarch at the time.
