Rocío Cano Valiño
Rocío Cano Valiño was born in Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Argentina (November 21, 1991).
Composer and designer. She has participated in the 1st International Congress on Science and Music Technology (Argentina, 2013), in the “Primer Encuentro de Música Contemporánea” at the Universidad Nacional de las Artes (Argentina, 2014), in the 2nd International Congress on Science and Music Technology (Argentina, 2015) and in the Colloquium about acousmatic music organized by the Destellos Foundation (Argentina, 2016).
Her work “Catarsis Sinusoidal” was selected in PAS-E 2014 (Italy), MUSLAB 2014 (Mexico), Electronic Language International Festival FILE 2016 (Brazil), Phas.e 2016 (England) and Musinfo “Journées Art & Science” 2016 (France).
Her work “El Sendero hacia lo Profundo” received The Audience Award in the Luigi Russolo Contest 2014 (France-Spain) and it was premiere in the auditorium at the Contemporary Art Museum of Barcelona (2014) and then edited in a CD by Monochrome Vision Label (Russia). Also, it was selected for the “Primer Encuentro de Música Contemporánea” at the National University of Arts (Argentina, 2014) and in MUSLAB 2016 (Mexico).
During 2015 she has been commissioned an electroacoustic quadraphonic work called "Pyxis" for the Bahía[in]Sonora festival. The concert was performed at the Teatro Municipal of Bahía Blanca (Argentina, 2015). This piece, it was selected in the 2nd International Congress on Science and Music Technology (Argentina, 2015), Zéppelin Festival 2015 (Spain), MUSLAB 2015 (Mexico), Sonosíntesis International Festival 2016 (Mexico), II Electroacoustic Music Festival of the Catholic University 2016 (Chile), SIME 2016 (France) and EVIMUS Festival 2016 (Germany).
Her work “Tâches” was selected in the Mixtur Festival 2017 (Spain), in the FILE Hipersonica 2017 (Brazil), III Festival de Música Electroacústica de la Universidad Católica (Chile), Forum Wallis Ars Electronica 2017 (Switzerland) and CEMI circles 2017 (USA).
During 2017, Rocío Cano Valiño had attended to several master classes developed at the Mixtur Festival with Rodrigo Sigal, Hèctor Parra, Wolfgang Heiniger and Barry Guy. Also, she has participated in conferences and workshops of composition at the Monaco Electroacoustic Biennale 2017 in the Rencontres Internationales de Musique Electroacoustique with Francis Dhomont, Horacio Vaggione, Annette Vande Gorne, Robert Normandeau, Hans Tutschku and Flo Menezes. She has attended to the Journées d'informatique musicale 2017 (Paris).
Rocío is CEO in LINSEN Media Productions since 2013.
