The second instalment in the series delves into my archives of Funky House anthems.
When I started DJing around Liverpool in the late 90's and early 00's I was initially a warm up DJ. I'd play the first hour or two before the main DJs came on and played a bit tougher.
At that time I was playing lots of US House, Funky House and Deep House bits. Then in 2002 there was a huge boom in Funky House and it became the soundtrack to the majority of Liverpools dancefloors.

I was resident at Bar Red which along with Society and Garlands was musically miles ahead of the rest of the city.
Showcasing all the latest and greatest tracks we could get our hands on from all over the world. It was an amazing part of my life!

This mix, spread over 2 hours, captures a brief moment in that era. There was too much unbelievable music to fit into one mix so I'll do a part two at a later date.
For now though, enjoy.
