"Volume 2 represents the continuation of an idea, and the evolution of my own experimental sound design in the context of electronic music. I worked night and day for many months recording and engineering this record so that every second of audio had meaning. I focused on unconventional recording techniques, blending analog with digital, and dynamic structure, which resulted in the record you hear today. The vision deserves nothing less." - ALEPH
The ALEPH project is a reflection of the heavily textured aesthetic found in today's electronic scene, and exists as the evolution of the previous bass music incarnation known as Prophet. Initially releasing vol. 1 in September of 2017 on Renraku, ALEPH is back this year with the follow up, vol. 2. Producing a menagerie of rhythms, tones, and sound designs within its quickly paced structures, vol. 2 is just as innovative and mind-bending as the first incarnation.
Scheduled for release on August 10, 2018 with Renraku, vol. 2 pushes the boundaries of his own craft while retaining the ethos of the past. The goal of the ALEPH project has been simple: to blend analog and digital together like never before and to encompass many worlds of sound as one. vol. 2 is a perfect summation of this coalescence, converging experimental bass music, glitched beats, garage, breakcore, jungle, house, and much more — all while bringing together digital and analog tools to find its completion.
Founded in August of 2015, the collective of Renraku's artist roster specializes in forward-thinking low frequency music, futuristic bass, and mutated beats. With a wide variety of artists like Little Snake (recently signed to Flying Lotus's Brainfeeder label), Uraan, Ghostek, and Chee pushing innovative sounds, Renraku is definitely a label to watch for years to come.
