RealMikeLo Mike Lo Elgin. IL Chicago, whose youth oriented rap scene is known for gangs and violence, is a strange breeding ground for a young rapper focused on creativity, positivity and the finer things in life. Mike Lo grew up in the burbs outside the windy city, where he was exposed to the hardships of life so often glorified by the native rappers. This diversity acted as a bouncing board for Lo, who decided to orientate himself toward a new way of life instead of treading the misguided path of many of his peers. It was during his volatile coming-of-age when Lo made the decision to fall out of the negative influences surrounding him and pursue his dream of making feel good music. In his own words, “I am ready to do whatever it takes to make a positive stance in the music industry.” This new direction seems to have informed his creative output which has grown more and more focused this past year.
