Psychedelic Techno - Nowadays quite a buzzword, since more and more Psy and Progressive Trance producers came up with a technoish side project. Yet the actual idea of Psychedelic Techno goes back further, and differs from the somewhat slow and clubby approach of many recent productions.Around 2000, acts like Spirallianz and Midi Miliz (today known as Extrawelt) or X-Dream merged deep and psychedelic sounds into hard, pumping Techno rhythms. Although this genre never became mainstream, it never vanished - which brings us to Alic..
Since 2002, Alic keeps up the original idea of Psychedelic Techno. In form of their passionate studio and live project, in form of their popular netlabel Digital Diamonds (founded in 2006) and formerly as A&Rs of Horns & Hoofs Entertainment. All these commitments strive to combine Psy-Trance and Progressive Techno in a fresh and innovative way, but without the drag of getting too clubby or too minimal.With a long background in producing electronic music and performing as DJs, Alic are one of the most promising artists in the progressive Techno- and Psytech-scene nowadays. Their debut album "Close Distance" cracked the 20.000 downloads benchmark on the Ektoplazm Music Portal and received an amazing feedback from all over the world.
