The Power of Doorways by Rabbi Andrew Jacobs published on 2018-01-26T19:43:05Z Inspired by last week's Torah portion, Bo, that details the infamous 10th plague and God's command to the Israelites requiring them to mark their doorposts, I gave this sermon last Friday night. To this very day, we Jews mark our doorposts by hanging a mezuzah. This practice - which comes from last week's Torah portion - captures the fact that, in Judaism, doorways are not just how we enter and exit a room or building. Doorways are ritual objects, sacred space. Passing through them is rite of passage that we must pause to recognize and appreciate. Genre Religion & Spirituality
