What are the signs that the system is in crisis, and how can we tell that its rulers are not in quite such a strong position as they would have us believe? We also discussed the anointing of Andy Burnham as (unopposed) Labour leader and Britain’s next (unelected) prime minister. What has this process revealed about the ruling class’s agenda at home and abroad? And why is it that an apparently ‘left’ Labour government is the preferred vehicle for carrying out the most brutal austerity at home and combining that austerity with ever more rabid and bloodthirsty warmongering abroad? Ultimately, we must learn the necessary lessons, get up off our knees and start organising ourselves for a serious fight-back. While the war-hungry monopoly banksters remain in charge, our lives are only going one way – and our children’s prospects with them.
