Business-friendly ‘socialism’ – Andy Burnham style by Proletarian Radio

Burnham’s role will be to continue putting Britain onto a war footing via austerity, militarisation and repression, while presenting himself as a ‘good bloke’ doing a ‘tough job’.

With the media having gone all-out to present Burnham as a ‘left-leaning’ closet socialist, the path is open for the trade unions to hold him up to workers as the best they are likely to get. We can expect them to use this angle to justify suppressing working-class resistance to austerity, repression and war over the period of his tenure in Downing Street.
