Projecto Kaya

Andrea and Liliana, began their careers, both being members of the girl band NONSTOP
and are again in the house music with their best known hits, “Selfish love” with DJ Pedro
Cazanova and “Ibiza for Dreams” with DJ Diego Miranda. This time they were not still in
the shadows of revenue, WANTED MORE…
Life took charge of the rest and so three years ago joined together to a musical project that
has more personal. With maturity the soul was resurfaced: Andrea grew up in a family
connected to FADO environment, Liliana has AFRICA in her blood.
What was always chasing after all inside them, this junction musical spices with different
sensivities.

“Welcome to Kaya” is the debut album of
PROJECTO KAYA, launched on september 8,
2014.
This album features the special participation of
the singer-songwriter FF, Paulo de Carvalho,
Virgul and jamaican Atiba.
Recorded between Luanda and Lisbon,
“Fangolê” was the first single, follows “Então
Vira” with the special participation of Virgul .
The sound of PROJECTO KAYA is a fusion of
styles that summarizes the root of Andrea and
Liliana, the Portuguese FADO and the
Angolan SEMBA with the electronic BEAT..
Tradicional instruments like Portuguese guitar,
Angolan percussion, trumpet and the usual
like bass, drums and electric guitar.
The rhythm and soul of these two voices that
summarizes a relaxed, eclectic but harmonious
record, with a positive message and always
current, where the songs are the essence.
