This all-time classic standard was written by Hoagy Carmichael in 1930, although the Ray Charles recording is probably the best known version. Listeners to this will correctly surmise that I am no Ray Charles! I played this a while back for my piano lesson, but have learnt the chords since, and keep coming back for another go... This is me a straight recording from my digital piano, no edits or trickery, but I needed to play this A LOT of times to get this take. I expect I'll be trying to improve on this one in time...
