ክፍል 1፡ በኢትዮጵያ ያለውን የቤት ውስጥ ጥቃት እና እንዴት ምላሽ መስጠት እንዳለበት መረዳት by Project dldl/ድልድል

እንኳን ወደ Project dldl/ድልድል ተከታታይ ፖድካስት በደህና መጡ። ይህ ተከታታይ ፖድካስት የተቋቋመው ህብረተሰቡን እና የሚመለከታቸውን አካላት በውይይቱ ላይ በማሳተፍ እና በሀገሪቱ ስላለው የቤት ውስጥ ጥቃት ግንዛቤ ለማስጨበጥ፣ ራሳችንን እና ሌሎችን በማስተማርና በዙሪያችን ያለውን ዝምታ ለመሰበር እውቀትና ግንዛቤ ያላቸው ሰዎች ተዛማጅ ርዕሶችን እንዲዳስሱ እና ግብዓቶችን እና አቅጣጫዎችን በማካፈል እነዚህን ልማዶች እና አስተሳሰቦች እንዲያሻሽሉ ለማድረግ ነው። ለተደራሽነት ዓላማ ሲባል በእንግሊዝኛ እና በአማርኛ እየቀያየርን የምናቀርብ ይሆናል፡፡

የመጀመርያው ክፍል ተጋባዥ እንግዳችን አቶ ወንድምነህ ለማ ከኢትዮጵያ የሕግ ባለሙያ ሴቶች ማህበር። ማስተርሱን በማህበራዊ ስራ አግኝትዋል። በአሁኑ ጊዜ በ EWLA የፕሮግራም አስተባባሪ ሲሆን ከ4 ዓመታት በላይ አብሯቸው ቆይቷል። EWLA የህግ ድጋፍ አገልግሎት ይሰጣል። በፆታ ላይ የተመሰረተ ጥቃት ሰለባ የሆኑትን ሴቶች በተለይም የተቸገሩ ሴቶችን ይረዳሉ። የኢትዮጵያ ፌዴራላዊ ዲሞክራሲያዊ ሪፐብሊክ ህገ-መንግስት እና እለማቀፍ የሰብዐዊ መብቶች ድንጋጌዎች የሴቶችን ኢኮኖሚያዊ፣ፖለቲካዊ፣ማህበራዊ እና ህጋዊ መብቶች ማስከበር እና መብቶቻቸው ሙሉ በሙሉ እንዲከበሩ ማገዝ ፤ ሴቶች ከወንዶች እኩል የሆኑባትን ሀገር ማየት የEWLA ራዕይ ነው። ዛሬ ወንድምነህ የቤት ውስጥ ጥቃትን ለመግለጽ፣ በኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ ያለውን የቤት ውስጥ ጥቃት ዝምታ እና EWLA የሚሰጠውን አገልግሎት ያስረዳናል።

Welcome to Project dldl/ድልድል podcast series. This podcast series was set up to engage in discussion the public and relevant groups in Ethiopia to promote awareness about domestic violence, to educate ourselves and others by having knowledgeable speakers explore related topics, and to share resources and directions to overcome norms that maintain silence around the problem in society. The series is hosted by Ms Etsegenet Hailemekeal, who is supporting the project with outreach and communications. For the purposes of accessibility, we will aim to alternate between English and Amharic.

Our guest speaker on our first episode is Ato Wendmneh Lemma from the Ethiopian Women Lawyers Association. He holds a Masters in social work and is currently is Programme Coordinator at EWLA, where he has been for over four years. EWLA is a legal aid service that assists women, particularly disadvantaged women, who are victims of gender-based violence. EWLA’s vision is to see a country where women are equal to men and articulates its mission as promoting the economic, political, social and legal rights of women and assisting them to secure full protection of their rights under the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and other international human rights conventions. In this episode, Wendmneh will help us define domestic violence, understand the silence around domestic violence in Ethiopia and the services that EWLA provides to victims of domestic violence.
