After the success of Passion Vol.2, we return with two impressive originals from Argentinian wunderkind, Mariano Mellino, and remix support from Blancah.

Coming from a progressive hotbed like Buenos Aires, means the self-confessed audioholic Mariano has a steep hill to climb to be successful in this industry. Fortunately, he is made of sterner stuff, and is highly regarded by his peers. So it’ll come as no surprise his trademark smooth grooves are signed to a glittering array of high profile labels including Global Underground, Sudbeat and Plattenbank to name a few.

‘Astros’ is classic Mariano. Rolling bass and skippy percussions soon making way for muscular synths and glittering arps. Forever growing in tension, the break offers momentary respite before we’re whipped up into a frenzy with the main drop. On remix duties, fellow South American Blancah takes things deeper, more visceral and more deliberate. ‘Enamur’ on the flip is a more guttural groove. Stripped back, with razor sharp focus on the growling low end, melodics organically fade into view adding to the drama and tension
