Prof. Trebor

One would be forgiven for assuming that the suburbs of 1980’s Dublin, where pop acts like Johnny Logan and ABBA ruled the airways would have been the best place to begin a love affair with the still nascent world of electronic music - but growing up in a household where music was as omnipresent as the people who lived there, Robbie knew there was so much more out there to enjoy than the oppressive reign of Europop and Showband Country-Folk.

Now settled in Co.Kildare, Robbie Parsons - more commonly known as Prof. Trebor - is beginning to establish himself as a sleeping giant within the local electronic music scene. Trained by his Father as a guitarist from a young age, Parsons began experimenting with electronic music in his early teens. Drawing inspiration from every genre he could get his hands on, his music incorporates spectral vocals, electric and acoustic guitars, chilled beats and pianos to bring an eclectic mix of atmospheric smooth jazz, lush-chill vibes and sometimes a playful and blazing glitch.
