A Passerby for male chorus and piano by Prof. Byron Adams published on 2011-09-09T04:38:08Z This piece is published by earthsongs: http://www.earthsongschoralmusic.com/catitem.php?seqnum=100096 "A Passerby" is a setting of a poem by Robert Bridges describing a proud sailing ship in stormy seas. I composed this piece for the University of Michigan Men's Glee Club, and they gave the premiere performance -- which is the performance featured here. I sketched the opening of this piece on a ferry going across San Francisco bay--my brother was with me, and pointed out a sailing ship. I wrote the first passage then and there in about three minutes. The rest of the piece took rather longer, however! Genre Classical Comment by Anastasios Theodorou Majestic! So dynamic and powerful.
