KBasofLately aka Kilae is known in the music world as Kyle Bowen, is a talented producer and rapper from Elizabeth, New Jersey. His journey is one of resilience, shaped by adversity and personal loss. The passing of his mother in December 2004 was a significant turning point, prompting him to seek a new life in Atlanta, Georgia, where he had spent much of his youth.

In Atlanta, Kilae was deeply influenced by his father, Tony Bowen, a self-taught pianist and vocalist. Observing his father’s dedication in the studio sparked Kilae’s own passion for music, helping him cultivate his artistic voice.

From 2011 to 2016, Kilae proudly served in the United States Marine Corps as a Radio Operator with the 1st Battalion, 12th Marines Headquarters. During a training operation, he faced a serious injury that left him with broken knuckles and a partially ruptured Achilles tendon, resulting in a lengthy recovery that spanned seven years. This experience only fueled his determination to succeed.

In 2022, Kilae embraced fatherhood, welcoming his first son and later another child. Now a devoted father of two, he is more motivated than ever to leave his mark on the music industry. With new projects on the horizon, Kilae is ready to share his artistry with the world.
