When the R33 airship was ripped from its moorings during a storm in April 1925, it went adrift. Communications between the ship and various monitoring stations were allegedly interfered with by radio listeners oscillating their radios. This early form of electronic sound, produced by feedbacking radio valves, polluted the airwaves of the 1920s and 30s. Song of the R33 attempts to tell its story through the sound of oscillating radio interference.
