Pär Grindvik "Headland" - Boiler Room Debuts by Boiler Room

It only took 20+ years of being top of the Swedish electronic music game for Pär Grindvik to launch his first ever full length release. Isle of Real features ten tracks which traverse a landscape of techno, experimental, electronica and ambient splendour. Written whilst on the road for several months on end, renowned producer and Stockholm LTD label head Grindvik took to hotel rooms and plane journeys for his nomadic production sessions – later polishing, recording and perfecting these demos in Peder Mannerfelt's Stockholm studio.

Throughout the album, Grindvik demonstrates his talent for finding the melodic soul in mechanical sounds. Isle of Real runs with a theme of spaces once inhabited, long since abandoned and reclaimed by the creep of nature. To us, "Headland" encompasses this most coherently and impressively. Built upon timeless techno blueprints, "Headland" aims to haunt with its eerie reverbed bells lingering far beyond its final notes.
