Jimbo Jones - Who Is Dubh Linn For - Plain Sailing Debuts by Plain Sailing

Dublin's Jimbo Jones channels nostalgic, end-of-the-night contemplation on Who Is Dubh Linn For: the lead single from his debut, self-released album.

We premiered a track from Jimbo previously released on Hot Seat Recordings, and when we were sent his latest project we were truly blown away. The artist has managed to capture the anxiety and frustration of contemporary Dublin as it does battle with an endless housing crisis, erosion of cultural space and immigration-focused racism.

Who Is Dubh Linn for is an insight into the Irish raver who knows not when his time is up. "The man with six cans and a plan" seeks a sesh to end the night, naively believing that the dancefloor space - so often a space for collaboration, safety and introduction - will be there forever. Culture is eroding before our very eyes, everything has an expiration date.
