In this recording, Zalogwé grabs a microphone and pretends to be a pop star, addressing listeners in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic. Recorded by Louis Sarno on the afternoon of 22nd April 1986 in the Central African Republic. Louis Sarno, a pioneering field recorder, has been recording Bayaka music in the rainforests of the Central African Republic and Republic of Congo since 1985. His ethnographic collection of more than 1000 hours of audio and thousands of images is curated by the Pitt Rivers Museum.
