Keith Richie began scoring Dead Love in October 2018, crafting an unsettling sonic journey from fragile intimacy into full-blown supernatural horror. The score’s core tracks — Intro through Revelations — capture the essence of Hannah’s descent, blending eerie atmospheres, ritualistic textures, and moments of heart-wrenching tension. The suite closes with Richie’s haunting tribute performance of Chariots of Pumpkins, originally composed by John Carpenter & Alan Howarth for Halloween III: Season of the Witch.

But the nightmare doesn’t end there. Side 2 expands the universe of Dead Love with selections from Richie’s darker catalog, thematically resonant with the film’s fever-dream tone. From the sinister march of the title track March of the Inanimate: Repossessed, to the chilling dread of Fields of Sorrow and Someone’s in the House from Mister Stichs, this expanded edition closes with An diesem Vorabend der Angst (On This Eve of Fear) — an alternate vision of Revelations, reimagined for a Krampus-inspired project.
