NOVALOTUS is a reunion of two longtime friends Alberto Kury (vocals) and Roberto Scripilliti (guitar) who nourish a common passion that is Melodic Metal, a style built in the early 1990's by bands like Stratovarius, Gamma Ray, Angra, Rhapsody, etc. They started their musical career together in the band Uirapuru, where two EP's were recorded, and had great rebound with the public and the media. This legacy headed to the band Aquaria, where two albums were released worldwide gaining the respect and care of fans up to the current days. Novalotus has as a central axis, the search for a simpler sonority, a more direct approach, legacy from the 1990's bands, with an addition of orchestral colors, that has always been part of the members musical works. The result is the rescue of the song format in metal, touching people directly by emotion. They are releasing a self-titled EP containing four songs, all writen by Roberto and Alberto, that has the search for faith, for strenght, and for the glory of all living things in the Universe. A tribute to life, to the greater love for the other, to the word, the word that can save, but also destroy. The power of words is the main axis of this musical debate proposed by Novalotus. A full album that contains these four songs, and others more, closes the trilogy composed by Aquaria on 2005 and 2007, and is already pre-produced to be recorded this 2014. NOVALOTUS é a reunião de dois amigos de longa data, Alberto Kury (Vocais) e Roberto Scripilliti (Guitarras) que nutrem uma paixão em comum, que é o Metal Melódico, estilo forjado nos anos 90 por bandas como Stratovarius, Gamma Ray, Rhapsody, Angra, etc. Eles começam a carreira juntos na banda Uirapuru, que gravam dois EP´s que tiveram bastante repercussão de público e crítica. Esse legado ”desaguou” na banda Aquaria, cujos dois álbuns foram lançados por todo o mundo, obtendo o carinho e respeito de fans até hoje, mesmo depois de tanto tempo sem lançar um trabalho. Novalotus tem como eixo central a busca por uma sonoridade mais direta, oriunda desse metal noventista, com o colorido orquestral que sempre caracterizou seus trabalhos. O resultado é o resgate da magia da canção no metal, que toca diretamente pela emoção. Eles estão lançando o EP intitulado “ Novalotus”, que contêm quatro músicas, todas de autoria de Roberto e Alberto, e que tem como temática a busca por fé, pela força e glória da existência de todas as coisas. Um tributo à vida, ao amor ao próximo, à palavra, palavra essa que salva, mas também pode destruir. O poder das palavras é o eixo central desse debate sonoro proposto pelo Novalotus. Um álbum, que complementa essas quatro canções fecha a trilogia composta pelo Aquaria em 2005 e 2007, já está pré-produzido e começará a ser gravado em 2014.
