Don‘t Get High by NHOAH

During writing process of this track I started using sample vocals. I suddenly heard the sentence „Don’t Get High“, which wasn’t actually being said but I still thought I heard it. That’s exactly how club impressions are: you sing along to melodies and lyrics that your own mind produces. I had a laugh at that so I had to give the song the name.
Then, I devoted myself to the music to give the pictured ‘HIGH‘ all its beautiful, wild sides, to demand everything from the struggle between the ironic lyrics and the uncompromising music.
The result is a wild jumble of musical quotes and sounds knitted together to form a novel path and my bouncing arm was not permitted to sink down for a second. Under this premise I mixed the track and we shot a crazy video with 15 friends inside a cramped toilet.
In fact, in a place you wouldn’t think to freak out to music, we had the rudest toilet rave. It was the most positive way of a collective ventilation. We danced 4 hours and gave everything, 15 people left the white-tiled room with flush red faces, happy and high from just dancing. Obviously we weren’t able to fulfil the lyrical prophecy.
