The Mississippi Freaks - Plastic factory by Mystik MIM published on 2015-09-24T02:48:19Z Plastic factory …a cover / version of a song by Captain Beefheart (Don Van Vliet). ‘The Mississippi Freaks’ were a short-lived first incarnation of this three piece raw energy rhythm & blues outfit that lasted barely a year, only did a handful of gigs, but was great fun and had bags of potential… that this first line-up unfortunately couldn’t really live up to. The band was formed in the back end of 2011. By the end of 2012 the energy had gone, replaced by individual philosophical differences, and with new projects beckoning the ‘Mississippi Freaks’ project was mothballed pending it’s next yet unknown incarnation. These are some of the rehearsal recordings, many of which are from the initial sessions, recorded in glorious live stereo with a Zoom H1. Edited and re-mastered by Sack 2015.
