my POV soundscapes Magda Stawarska-Beavan My Point of View Soundscapes is an on line sound sketchbook exploring the everyday experience of listening. The emphasis is on the relationship between the recordist and the acoustic surroundings. Everyday field recordings form the basis for the audio pieces. Recorded with binaural ear microphones, they are a mix of acoustic traces of presences within different soundscapes; the sounds of steps, breathing and heartbeat are interwoven in the wider acoustic environment. The question asked is how sound affects the way we construct our personal memory of a place, but also how new narratives can be presented to a listener who has never experienced the location my POV soundscapes’s tracks Resonating Silence B by my POV soundscapes published on 2019-01-25T12:49:38Z Resonating Silence A by my POV soundscapes published on 2019-01-25T12:27:02Z Mother Tongue III by my POV soundscapes published on 2018-06-15T11:21:49Z mother tongue II by my POV soundscapes published on 2018-06-15T11:21:43Z Mother Tongue IV by my POV soundscapes published on 2018-06-15T11:21:40Z Retelling Soundscape by my POV soundscapes published on 2018-06-15T10:54:06Z Eminönü and Üsküdar by my POV soundscapes published on 2014-09-01T20:00:53Z Emirgan to Kanalica - Headphones recommended for optimum listening experience by my POV soundscapes published on 2014-08-29T11:02:02Z Evening Walk by my POV soundscapes published on 2014-08-09T18:30:58Z Crossing Bosphorus Bridge by my POV soundscapes published on 2014-07-21T18:49:50Z
