Peter Simon Interviews Jerry Garcia 1975 by MVYRADIO

In 1975, photographer Peter Simon sat down with Jerry Garcia, as Garcia was working on what would become The Grateful Dead movie. Peter recently rediscovered his recording, which had originally aired on WVOI, a pre-cursor to WMVY.

Peter has donated this recording, as well as a beautiful print of The Dead, that he shot in 1977, for a fundraiser for the radio station. You can get entered to win the print at www.friendsofmvyradio.org

Please note that this interview is from the original tape. There are some parts that cut short, including the end. But Jerry Garcia is very present and thoughtful in this 58 minute interview.
